My name is Raeghan Brydon (she/her) and I am thrilled to be joining Couch of Hope as an intern counselling therapist. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I previously graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
I have been working with a diverse population of individuals for the past five years, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. It is my mission to help everyone make their contributions to society. I am a strong advocate for adversity, inclusion, and accessibility. I value everyone’s voice and believe everyone has something unique to offer to the world.
My counselling style is very person-centered. I will meet you where you are, listen and support you in your individual growth. I also pull from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and a Strengths-Based approach. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, self-esteem difficulties, and general life struggles.
I am always willing to learn, listen empathetically and without judgement, and provide a safe space for you to communicate freely. I understand that life is tough, and we all need a bit of support at times. I am here to help you discover your self-worth while learning effective strategies to help you move forward. I would be honoured to make this journey with you, and I look forward to chatting with you!
