My name is Jessica MacIsaac (she/her), and I am an Intern Counselling Therapist at Couch of Hope. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Acadia University.
Before stepping into the field of counselling, I spent many years working in outreach and social services positions, primarily supporting youth and adults through times of crisis, transition, and growth. More recently, I have worked with incarcerated women in a federal institution—an experience that deepened my belief in the power of nonjudgmental, compassionate support and the importance of creating safe, empowering spaces for people to explore change.
My therapeutic style is warm and collaborative and is primarily grounded in person-centred therapy, while also integrating interventions from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Adlerian Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking a space to be heard and supported, I’m here to listen.
When I’m not in session, I recharge by spending time with my Goldendoodle, Max, and playing games with my family. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey.
