Hi, my name is Dianne Horsburgh (she/her), and I am honoured to be joining Couch of H.O.P.E. as a Counselling Intern. I emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 2009 and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
For over a decade, I have worked as a Youth Care Worker, supporting children and adolescents who have experienced significant trauma. This work has strengthened my passion for creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces where individuals feel heard and valued.
My counselling approach is client-centred, rooted in empathy and cultural humility. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them with compassion, respect, and collaboration, tailoring support to meet each person’s unique needs.
