Brittaney Lewis

Counselling Therapist Intern

Hello! My name is Brittaney Lewis (she/her). I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University. Originally from  Epekwitk/Prince Edward Island, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Prince Edward Island. I’ve spent the past eight years living in Kjipuktuk /Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I also work in marine response.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each person’s unique lived experience. I offer a warm, affirming, and neurodiversity-informed space where clients can feel safe to explore what matters most to them. With a person-centred foundation, I take an integrative approach that draws on cognitive behavioural, attachment-based, and somatic approaches to support each client’s individual needs. Together, we work to build insight, reduce self-doubt, and foster meaningful, sustainable change.

I’m passionate about wellness, systems-level change, and creating culturally safe spaces for healing. Outside of work and school, I enjoy music, camping, and spending time with my family.

Reaching out for support takes courage and it’s the first step in healing, growth, and self-discovery. I look forward to connecting and supporting you on your journey!
