Hello! My name is Blaire Mackenzie, and I’m a counselling therapist intern currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) at Yorkville University. With a background in the creative arts—ranging from painting and ceramics to crochet and jewelry making—I’ve learned that healing, self-expression, and problem-solving can take many forms. This creative foundation informs my belief that therapy can be a flexible, imaginative, and deeply personal
journey.
I take a feminist, intersectional approach to therapy, recognizing the importance of your unique context—your identities, culture, strengths, and the barriers you may face. I believe that understanding your lived experience is key to supporting your growth and empowerment. My practice is rooted in collaboration; you are the expert of your own life, and it is a privilege to walk alongside you as you share your story.
I’m especially passionate about supporting clients exploring spirituality, building self-esteem, navigating relationships and family conflict, and affirming 2SLGBTQIA+ identities. Theories that resonate with me include Existentialism, Adlerian, Narrative, and Person-Centered Therapy, and I’m committed to tailoring my approach to meet your individual needs.
I know that seeking help can be incredibly difficult—and reaching out is already a sign of strength. I’m honoured to support you on your path toward healing and self-discovery.
