Complete Practicum With Us

Couch of Hope offers Practicum opportunities to graduate students who have completed their course work in Yorkville University’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and Acadia University’s Master of Education in Counselling programs.

For Yorkville University students, internships are part-time over a 8-month period. New interns can begin practicum in January, May, or September.

For Acadia University students, internships are full-time over a 4-month period. New interns begin practicum in January and September.

Intern Therapists receive mentorship and guidance from multiple Registered Counselling Therapists who are trained Clinical Supervisors.

chk Onsite training opportunities include clinical case consultation meetings, guest speakers, and discussion groups
chk Intake and community outreach are provided by the clinic, allowing you to focus on your therapeutic work with clients and gaining your required direct contact hours
