I am a counselling intern at Couch of HOPE and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. I am interested in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and those interested in personal growth.
My approach to counselling is client-centred and grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I view clients as the experts in their own lives and work alongside them in a supportive, nonjudgmental way, tailoring therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. My work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
As an emerging therapist, I aim to create a safe and welcoming space where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns and expressing their authentic selves. I bring additional perspective from my professional experience in healthcare, as well as volunteer work supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds and life contexts.
Outside of my professional role, outside of counselling, I am a parent to two young children and value the importance of balance, connection, and compassion in everyday life. I look forward to being part of your healing journey.
